Old Guy

Old Guy

Follows a contract killer facing the end of his career who is thrilled when The Company pulls him back into the field training Gen Z newcomer: Wihlborg, a prodigy assassin with an attitude.

L1MB0 says: "Old Guy" attempts to weave a narrative that, while it has potential, ultimately falls flat under the weight of its lackluster execution. The plot meanders aimlessly, offering glimpses of intrigue but failing to deliver any meaningful development. Characters are disappointingly one-dimensional, lacking depth and relatability; they feel more like caricatures than real people. The acting is particularly subpar, with performances that range from wooden to overly exaggerated. It’s hard to invest in their journeys when the portrayals are so unconvincing. Even moments that should evoke emotion feel hollow due to the disconnect between actors and their roles. Visually, the film does little to elevate the mundane script; cinematography and direction seem uninspired at best. The pacing drags in parts, making it a struggle to stay engaged throughout its runtime. Overall, "Old Guy" fails to be entertaining or thought-provoking, leaving viewers with little more than a sense of time wasted. While there may be a few fleeting moments of humor or charm, they are overshadowed by the overwhelming mediocrity of the film as a whole. In a landscape rich with compelling stories and characters, "Old Guy" is an unfortunate reminder that not every project can hit the mark.
